Looks Promising!

I sat down with my grandma tonite (she's a captive audience since she can't get out of bed) and we went through the first box of pictures. She got such a kick out of looking at the pictures and trying to figure out the dates of the pics. They didn't write names or dates on pics hardly at all! Thank goodness we have digital cameras now that does it for us huh? Well, I guess it doesn't help with the names. LOL Anyway, here are a few of my favorite pics out of the box and I just wanted to share them.

The first pic is my grandma's graduation picture from 1936. Her grandpa told her that this is the best picture she will ever have taken. She said she didn't know if that was a compliment or not! LOL

This second picture is of my mother when she was 4 years old. So cute!

Then here's me from the 6th grade... (just threw that in because I could) LOL!!! Looking at my pic and my grandma's pic, I really do take after her (I think).

I'm looking forward to Friday. I'm hoping to get at least one or two pages done.

Still Hanging in There

My Grandmother is still hanging in there! She can't live on her own anymore so we're cleaning out her apartment and my sister came across 4 boxes of pictures! There are some very old pictures in there. So, tomorrow night I'm going to go to my mom's and sit down with her and take notes on pictures with her for as long as she can handle it. I'm sure we'll need several sit downs to get notes on all the pics she has stored in those boxes. She even has her graduation announcement from 1939! I thought that was pretty cool. I told her I was going to scan them and make copies but she wasn't understanding why I wouldn't use the originals. I explained that someone else might want a copy of her pics too. (I didn't want to say that I was afraid that I might mess up and the pic would be lost forever.) Anyway, I'm very excited about making an album with these pics. I'm used to doing newer pics. It should be fun. I'm hoping to get some done for her to see. We'll see how it goes!
